Douglas, Justice, U.S.Supreme Court from 1939-1975.In addition to the features that one would expect in a legal thesaurus, I found Foreign Phrases and Translations keyed to concepts to be both helpful and interesting.The Index is a convenience.This thesaurus is a great reference tool for legal writing.I highly recommend it.

This book, now in its fourth edition, is an essential companion to Black's Law Dictionary, Garner's Legal Usage book, and other essential legal reference books. Great for law students, lawyers, judges, paralegals/legal assistants, and just about anyone else dealing with legal language. This book gives alternatives to stilted, overused, and misused, language. Worth the price (especially if one compare it on a site like Nextag, Shopzilla, and others).

A must-have for the lawyer who is always looking for the perfect word or phrase. I pull this out all the time for motion practice, but it has really been key for some Federal Circuit briefs. I've never quite figured out why the index is half the book, and what the difference is from the "thesaurus" part, but it's all good. I bought a used copy in great condition, and wonder why someone would give this up!

Just want to say ... buying and getting this to a prison inmate was a success. He received the book and as far as I know it was in great condition..he didnt say anything about it being used. So assume it was in new condition. I am just glad I found a place I can send books to at prison with low cost. Will be certainly buying more. He is reading it page by page. It was actually written by one of my professors who I have a lot of respect for; he’s a great teacher. The book itself is well-written and has a lot of charts and data on injection molding that’s very useful as a reference book; I can look back at that often and I still find it useful.

The book describes the basics of mold flow design and shares insight in how polymers flow and where issues may arise in the design of molds. There are plenty of formulas with examples to demonstrate their application. Details cover many aspects of the mold design including wall thickness, runners, corners, angles, ribs and much more.Some material seems to stop short of the complete details leaving the reader wanting. But the value of the rest of the material makes the book well worth its price. I work for a tutoring company and am using this product to help students review. I have only had this book for a few days, but I have already found 2 errors in the answer key... not particularly impressed. I will update this review after we go through more of the book.

My kid is using it and I can ask him the comprehension questions. They are easier than 6th G. I would say more like 4th.

The format is great. I use it to teach ESL to adults learning to read English. They enjoy being able to learn the language as well as interesting facts.

These are stories more to the speed of 6th graders who hate to read. Well thought out and planned.

Love the spectrum series books. Great resource for great prep.

I purchased the Grade 5 Spectrum Reading for my son prior to this purchase of the Grade 6 book. I found that with each page's short story reading assignment, it is simple enough to tear apart the pages to have him work on this during the summer as a good review. Each story or literary article is a page long, with questions on the other side. It's simple to keep track of his reading tutorials since the answers are all on the back pages of the book. As a busy parent, I do not have to read the entire story/article to find out the answers. The length of each homework page is perfect, not too short nor long.

The story was great but the ending was horrible. Atleast this story wasn't as rushed and skipped parts like most of Emma's stories do. However the ending was absolutely horrendous. Clark was a selfish jerk. His actions at the end were unforgivable IMO. For Katy and Dawson to just forgive and forget is part of the "sweet ending" garbage that was pushed in these stories but certainly not believable. I don't want to spoil it for anyone although seriously you would probably thank me if I did. There's too many things to mention that made Clark unlikeable man that had no honor or integrity. Let me just say poor Katy to lose the darling baby she loved and cared for but of course the author didn't mention Katy's loss because of the overly sweet "lets just brush over the jerkiness" of Clark at the end for a lovely darling ending made this unbelievable and happy I didn't have to pay too much for this story. However I think I won't bother with Emma's stories for now on. I read one that jumped around and was way too short and brushed over a lot of stuff. Now here's this one that was completely wasted with a very bad ending.

Catherine Statler, aka Katy, has answered an and to become a mail order. While on the train, she is the only other woman around, when another woman dies giving birth and the responsibility is placed on her to care for the infant. When she arrives in Brooks, there is no Dawson waiting for her and instead his brother, Clark, is the one to find her and inform her that her intended had been missing for a month.Clark brings Katy back to the house that the brothers share. Katy occupies herself cleaning and caring for the house and the orphaned infant. Not knowing whether Dawson was dead or alive leaves Katy worrying about her future.A great read that I thoroughly enjoyed and read in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down needing to know the fate of the infant or if Dawson would be found.a lovely storyline with enjoyable characters. I would easily recommend this book to others as well.

A special story. A young man advertised for a Bride then took a dangerous job in order to have plenty of money to care for her. A young lady whose Uncle as trying to get her inheritance by marrying her off to a man she couldn't stand. While on the train a woman went into labor and did leaving the child with the girl s they were going to the same stop. A must read for those who enjoy historical western romance kindle books from Amazon at a special price and from a delightful author who keeps me entertained throughout the entire book before putting it down. A very event filled book.

This is a story about a young woman ,after losing her family , strived to find a new family. It has a very happy ending after several weeks of problems. It is a story you won't want to put down until you finish your it.

I enjoyed this book! Such a spunky heroine new to the west, a surly yet soft-hearted hero, thrown together by unusual circumstance, shortly before Christmas. I like that Katy is no shrinking violet. A well suited couple.

I like how she wrote about assumptions, worries, and not giving up. Faith and two strangers doing what is right. It could have been a longer story with more details, but the ending was a surprise.

This is a story that is about a young woman whom parents died. Her uncle came n tried to get her to marry one of his friends so he could collect inheritance. This is a great book.

This is a simple story of brotherly devotion a happy ending, like any love story it is now love falls into place. I could not put this book down.
